My perception towards life is that everything has it's purpose and that many do not "see" the true wonders which surrounds us on a daily basis. True beauty is often overlooked. Many just see a flower, a tree, without seeing the creation and the structural wonders attached to that creation.

 

Nature is one of my biggest inspirations. I am fascinated by the structure, the shapes and textures that nature creates, I try to capture this in my photographic work.

 

I love abstract, abstract realism which I can "see" in nature at all times.

 

My work is both untouched or with post-processing (altering colours and adding textures, I wish I could paint!). I mostly shoot handheld and prioritise aperture. I love the blurry abstract backgrounds that some depth of field produces. I love the endless creative possibilities that various apertures give me.

 

Where art is concerned, it is my responsibility to achieve my personal goals as someone who creates images, to satisfy my needs and to reach the creative standards I know I have within and hopefully along the way, others will enjoy my achievements.

 

For me photography is an ongoing, learning and creative journey.
